Invesco Field
Here you go. Denver's very own ball park. Actually, this is one of the two they
have. The Denver Broncos play here. They are a decent enough team, and won the
super bowl a few years ago.

Nuclear Shelter
Near Denver, there's a cave called the cave of the winds. It's an interesting
cave where the guides take us through the different paths inside and show
us the different stalacites and stalagmites and cave popcorn. Apparently,
it's also a nuclear shelter, coz this sign is right outside the cave.

Stanley Hotel
I remember reading Stephen King's The Shining in 1993. I didn't think too much of the
book, but the movie was rather good. This hotel, on the edge of the Rocky Mountain
National Park was the hotel in the movie.
It's an impressive building, but once you get in, it's a dump.

The Rockies
The Rockies. And no illusions. What you see here is exactly the way we saw it.
It's unbelievable beautiful.
In front is a frozen lake fed by a glacier system. It's frozen solid, but you never know.

SMO
The nearest airport to our house, the Santa Monica airport is about a mile and a
half away. It's like a backyard airport to us, and is probably where most of the
hollywood stars land before taking the short limo ride to their home in
Beverly Hills.

DEN
The Denver Airport. While the airport is quite impressive, I found this shot
irresistable and decided to post this instead.
Rash took the shot.

Centennial Airport
We were driving towards the Royal Gorge, when we saw this signboard pointing
to this airport. There were also some decent size planes above us, which
leads me to believe that this airport is fairly big.

LAX
I know this is not the traditional shot of LAX that people expect. However,
I couldn't resist a shot from one of the book stores in LAX.
Harry Potter is not really fiction. What is it then though? Current affairs? Biography??

I've posted shots before on the Fairbanks airport, but here's one last one for this
theme.

Anchorage
I had a brief stop pver at Anchorage, where the only two things I did was
buy lunch and take this picture...
It seems like a really big airport from the little I saw.

SEA-TAC
I took this shot of the Seattle airport from the plane. On the way to Alaska. It
was quite cold outside, but I wouldn't know too much about that. I do know,
however, that there was very little light, and it's a wonder I got what I did.

What was that again?
I took this shot on campus. I am not really sure what it means. Closed when
there's traffic? Or closed to through traffic? Probably latter, but really they
should stick a to there. And stop abbreviating the words.

How about a bite?
I am not a big fan of hunting trophies. And I am not at all in favour of taxidermy.
So, I don't see objects like this very favourably. However, this is Alaska, and they
probably have nothing else to adorn their walls...

No Shooting
Apparently, it's not only in Los Angeles that you can get shot. Alaska even has
signs everywhere asking people to refrain from shooting...

Mobile Home
This house actually give the mords mobile home a whole new meaning. Although
it looks like it, the house is not on the trailer. Well, most of the house isn't anyway.

Alaskan Girls
So Alaskan girls kick ass. Woo. Wonder when they'd learn to clean their
cars.

Ok, this is Alaska. But still. I just understand how this girl got this going!

Skinny Dipping
It gets hot in Utah, and any small small stream is inviting to the hitchhiker.
Now, if I had waited longer, maybe I woudl have got a 'better' shot :)

Carving up a path
Deep in the center of Alaska, there's this road that seems like it was made by
scooping out everything in the middle with a spoon. Ofcourse, they had to
spoil the view by putting in the electric wires...

University of Alaska at Fairbanks
The UAF is on a hillock, looking over the town of Fairbanks. It's like a million acres
and some more. And I have not seen a prettier place ever. The population is
low and that adds to the beauty I suppose.

End of the Road
An interesting thing about Alaska was the number of dead ends. It was
almost like they started cutting a road, and got bored after a while, and
marked a dead end. Then they moved onto another road !

Tropic Ditch
In the 1880's, when the pioneers reached Utah, they found out that the heat was
so much that the rivers dried up in summer, and there was no water for the
year around. So, they spend 2 years digging a ditch that connected a
river to the town of Tropic. This is the result of their work.
I am at a loss as to what motivated them...
These days, a few tourists come here, but mostly, it's a forgotten place.

Rail Tracks to Nowhere
In Artesia, in the heart of India town is this abandoned bit of a railway
track. It's rather dilapilated, and in a far worse condition that the one
near our house, which we may post at a later date.

Path to Enlightenment
Believe it or not, this road leads to a school. I thought it looked
picturesque in the daytime, but look like the gates of hell at
night...

Canada My Ass !
The interior of Alaska is a dump. No really. Parts of it may be pretty, but
there's no escaping the fact that it's a dump. This sign I saw along the
road in Alaska has been presented in the best way I could. There's a lot
of stuff in the original picture that would make people form another
opinion of the place...

Menhir
USC has a great big Obelisk. Or phallus... Anyway. This structure has some
USC symbols on it and adorns the western gate, rigth opposite the Shrine.
I decided to take a rather unconventional shot of the structure.

Custodians
This mural is on the University church. It's a regal structure, and one of the oldest
buildings on campus. The mural invokes images of Lord of the Rings for some
reason...

Paparazzi
So I was walking around campus with a camera one day. And you know what it's
like when you have a camera and you suddenly see a moment you want to
record. I didn't think anything when I took this shot. I never even saw the
girl's face. She never saw me, and I never saw her after that. But, now,
the moment will linger forever...
